What a way to spend a Sunday! Dublin Canvas and Dublin City Council are working to brighten up the city by adding a splash of colour to traffic light boxes. You might have seen some of the project which has been underway in the last number of months. Sunday was my turn to make my mark on our fair city. I was lucky to get to paint the box at The Customs House. The area steeped in history and architecture but could be seem as a little drab.

The Artists' Panel Branding for @DubCityCouncil
Check out the latest branding work completed for Oonagh Young @DesignHQ.
One of the core functions of the Artists' Panel is to provide funding for visual arts projects. They needed a strong brand to represent their activities and one that could be applied throughout their various literature (application forms & terms of service etc)
The solution was to use the characters 'A' and 'P' and to interconnect them to show the unity between what they do and the connection to the artist. The strong mono-line using rounded terminals is offset against the beautiful sans serif underneath. A paperclip was also made for the brand collateral.
